Getting Started with Zerply

You have signed up. Now let’s get your workspace ready. The onboarding takes less than five minutes and by the end of it, Zerply will already know your brand, your competitors, and the questions it needs to track across AI platforms on your behalf.

Here is exactly what happens, step by step.

Zerply welcome screen

The first thing Zerply asks for is your website URL and your target location.

Your target location tells Zerply which market you are operating in. This matters because AI platforms can return different results for the same question depending on the geography of the user asking it. Selecting the right country ensures your visibility data reflects your actual audience.

Enter your website URL in full (for example https://yoursite.com) and click Add Website to continue.

This is where Zerply learns who you are as a brand.

You will see three fields: Brand Mission, Core Products and Services, and Brand Values. You do not have to write these from scratch. Zerply has an option to let AI generate these for you based on your website. You can review what it generates and edit any field before moving forward.

These guidelines are not just for onboarding. Zerply uses them throughout the platform to make the Blog Agent’s content, the SEO chat responses, and content recommendations more relevant and accurate to your brand. The more specific you are here, the better every output across the platform becomes.

Click Save and continue when you are done.

Zerply now asks you to add the competitors you want to track alongside your own brand.

Again, you do not have to research this yourself. Zerply can find your competitors automatically based on your website. Click Let AI find these and it will suggest the most relevant competing domains in your space. You can add more using the Add Competitor button or remove any suggestions that do not apply.

Getting this right matters. Your competitors appear in your Share of Voice charts, industry rankings, and sentiment comparisons inside AI Visibility. The clearer this list, the more meaningful your tracking data becomes.

This is the most important step of onboarding.

Zerply generates a set of suggested prompts based on your brand and industry. These are the actual questions it will run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Claude every day, recording exactly what each platform says about your brand in response.

Think of these prompts as the questions your potential customers are asking AI platforms right now. For example: “How to track brand presence across AI models?” or “What are autonomous agents for SEO content automation?”

You can edit any suggested prompt, delete ones that do not fit your business, or add your own using Add Another Prompt. There is no perfect number to start with. A focused set of five to ten well-chosen prompts will give you more useful data than a large set of vague ones.

When you are satisfied, click Continue.

Step 5: Connect Google Search Console (optional)

Section titled “Step 5: Connect Google Search Console (optional)”

Zerply gives you the option to connect your Google Search Console account. This step is optional but recommended.

When connected, Search Console gives Zerply access to your real search performance data including clicks, impressions, and keyword rankings. This unlocks better recommendations from the AI chat, lets you spot pages losing traffic, and gives you a complete picture of both your traditional search and AI visibility side by side.

If you want to skip this for now, click Skip for now. You can connect it later from Settings.

Once you complete these steps, Zerply takes over.

Your prompts start running across AI platforms. Within the first 24 to 48 hours, you will begin seeing visibility data inside AI Visibility. Zerply will show you where your brand is being mentioned, how your Share of Voice compares to competitors, what sentiment AI models associate with your brand, and which sources are influencing those responses.

Your workspace is now ready. The next section walks you through how to read and interpret what Zerply shows you.
